Ahhhhh….a hot cup of coffee on such a cool and beautiful morning…..

...but on such a beautiful morning like this, I should’ve have to read yet another story of intimidation in the community of colorFamiliar scenario: an unarmed Black man jumped by the police who insist he was resisting arrest.  Not by the accounts of everyone else on that street block.  Geez, it’s like it never ends! New York Mayor de Blasio needs to assist the NYPD in cleaning house of officers who themselves have record.  Luckily, Rev. Al Sharpton is on the case – watch out NYPD!!!

So much for race-related topics….now onto food (speaking of assaults)….

Almond milk has never done anything terrible to me or to anyone else that I know of.  So why has it become the latest victim of political gastronomicalcorrectness?

If we knew that the by-products of almond milk were being used in an environmentally friendly manner, the stigma of being an eco-terrorist would be washed away. It’d be refreshing to sit down to a bite to eat without a nagging sense of perpetual guilt over what I’m about to eat...geez!!!

Gee whiz, Cheryl K., all this and this week’s Jazz Disturbance playlist, too?

In future posts, I’d like to talk about the artists who send their release to WGXC 90.7 FM, all of whom deserve your attention.  I listen up for the best cuts to play in two-and-one-half hours on Thursday nights at the station. It’s so much fun!  Here you don’t need to get hung up on what you don’t know about jazz. I certainly don’t know everything and anyone who does tell you that they do is full of cabbage. They may be part of that squad known as The Jazz Police.  They’re not as threatening as the NYPD but just as destructive, IMO....

 Until we meet again...
